Sedona - Arizona

One of the best ways to explore the desert landscape and red rock scenery is to drive the 4WD roads in Sedona. These roads range from easy to difficult and take you to stunning overlooks and through remote terrain. They are lots of fun to drive and offer a unique adventure experience.

Sedona has many canyons and pine forests, but the most stunning landscape here is the many red rock limestone formations that can be found almost everywhere. It’s the Red Rock Country. The stone formations always have a deep red color, which only intensifies in the light of the sun. Sedona has been named one of the most beautiful places in America because of its mesmerizing scenery that changes hourly with light shifting. Native Americans have always regarded Sedona as a place of healing and renewal, which continues to be true as they still value this land as sacred. Sedona is surrounded by 1.8 million acres of national forest land, and no matter where you are in Sedona, you are never far from breathtaking scenery.

Sedona is a true oasis, a vacationer’s paradise in the middle of the Arizona desert. Sedona is the hiking and biking capital in the USA. Bell Rock and Oak Creek Canyon are great hiking spots, and the dramatic architecture of the Chapel of the Holy Cross is a religious experience itself. Sedona is also famous for spas, art galleries, and healing centers. Sedona’s Southwest-style architecture, thanks to strict building codes, forces even the local McDonalds and supermarkets to feature gorgeous.

Sedona is a lush desert for various cacti ranging from tiny hedgehogs up to spiny prickly pears as you roll down the trail. However, Sedona’s hills look more like a deep forest than a desert. When you get up close, you’ll realize that the pines covering the hillsides are small, scraggly, desert pinions; nevertheless, they lend Sedona a feel more akin to a forested mountain range than a windswept desert. Adding to the lushness of Sedona is the ever-flowing Oak Creek that runs through the bottom of the valley that brings you into a radically different ecosystem filled with tall grasses, lush undergrowth, and even deciduous trees that, yes, including oaks.

Moab - Utah

Known for mountain biking, 4-wheeling, rock climbing, and rafting, Moab, due to the many developed 4wd trailheads, is the Jeep capital of the world. National parks are America’s crown jewels, inspiring awe, and wonder. Moab’s iconic national parks, Arches, and Canyonlands attract visitors from all over the world. However, public lands include more than national parks: scenic rivers, forests, a state park, and thousands of square miles of ruggedly beautiful lands are all around Moab.

The Moab area’s beauty, history, and hundreds of miles of old mining roads and 4-wheel drive trails make it a place that will never be forgotten. Moab has a full range of backcountry trails, from easy 2-wheel drive backcountry scenic drives to the ultimate in challenging 4-wheel drive trails, providing an opportunity for all to experience the beauty and solitude of a backcountry adventure.

Moab is surrounded by some of Earth’s most stunning red rock landscapes. Moab’s unique combination of small resort town hospitality, beautiful scenery, and the cool waters of the Colorado River has made it one of the most sought-after destinations in the American Southwest.

While exploring this unique scenery in the American Southwest, you can relax and experience the Moab’s small-town hospitality. Moab’s perfect climate has made it a magnet for year-round outdoor events and festivals, and the downtown business district has responded with a great collection of restaurants, microbreweries, shops, and galleries. Stroll through the downtown shops for a great selection of southwestern arts and jewelry, souvenirs, t-shirts, and much more.

Moab’s location is in a dry, rocky, arid, beautiful desert attracting outdoor adventurers. Mountain biking is huge here, and experts claim it has some of the best trails in the world. At the same time, Moab is famous for rock climbing and hiking. And the setting, with its gorgeous red rocks, can’t be beaten. In Moab, you can enjoy river rafting trips, jeep expeditions, and tours of the surrounding area.

Monument Valley

Monument Valley provides perhaps the most enduring and definitive images of the American West. Here you experience one of the most majestic – and most photographed – points on earth. This great valley boasts sandstone masterpieces that tower at heights of 400 to 1,000 feet, framed by scenic clouds casting shadows that graciously roam the desert floor. The angle of the sun accents these graceful formations, providing scenery that is simply spellbinding.

The landscape overwhelms, not just by its beauty but also by its size. The fragile pinnacles of rock are surrounded by miles of mesas and buttes, shrubs and trees, and windblown sand, all comprising the magnificent colors of the valley.

Navajo Nation

The Navajo Nation has a land base of 27,000 square miles, extending into the States of Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. This area has a long history going back as far as pre-historic times and the subsequent arrival of Spanish and European settlers.

This is home to the Navajo people with its array of more than a dozen national monuments, tribal parks, and historical sites, and peppered with a dozen lakes and ponds – Lake Powell alone has 186 miles of Navajoland shoreline.

What clients are saying

“Valentina is a gem. She developed a three-week mixed camping/luxury lodging itinerary focusing on the pristine wildernesses of Arizona. The itinerary was detailed, flexible, and delivered exactly what I had asked for. V-adventures was even able to pivot and add some extra activities when my girlfriend decided to join the trip unexpectedly mid-way through. I can’t guarantee it, but if you book with Valentina you may be the happy recipient of some excelled northern Italian cuisine. I have already engaged v-adventures to begin planning my next adventure. 5 Stars”       Josh C.
